How to Win a Free iPad

Apple iPhone has been a huge success and rightly so the product was a milestone in the history of technological innovation. Apple is going to release iPad now which is a bigger version of iPhone and iPod touch which is much more elegant and offers wide range of functions. Marketing is at its peak both on and off the web. TV, Internet, Newspaper they are all full of it but the problem is that it is not yet available for purchase from the stores yet and could only be available via pre-order and is very expensive

However you can get your hands on the iPad by offering them honest reviews and feedback. Become a tester for them and in return you get to keep the iPad isn't that amazing? What you need to do is enter your email id, zip code and shipping information and you're good to go. What makes these offers trustworthy? Firstly they don't ask you to pay a dime, and yes I mean it. Secondly they wont ask you to make referrals or sign up under their partner sponsor sites like Netflix etc.

You must be thinking is it that simple? Yes I swear it is. Big companies who wish to keep this iPad for sale once it is released to the market wants to make sure the product is working fine and is bug free.

Do you really think they will risk their reputation by keeping bugged gadgets on their stores? This is where you lend them a hand, it is just like having to do surveys but this is a golden nugget that I am offering you.

Is it really free? Well not 100% but yes if you compare the trade off $5 or even $20 is incomparable against $500 and with the opportunity to get your hands on the iPad before anyone else does. It really sure is worth it

Business Mathematics

Business mathematics entail the interpretation and assessing of tables, graphs and charts, calculation of markups and discounts and solving problems related to percentage, proportion and ratio; ascertaining costs of unit, scaled costs for receipts, full costs; budgets; financing; costs evaluated against cash; credit; comprehending income, payroll taxes and deductions; investigation federal income tax annual reports; comparing different financial investment systems; knowing sales including taxes, utility, property and other additional taxes; assessments of insurance programs; knowledge of costs of manufacturing, and evaluation of the performance of a business.
Must one be good in mathematics in order to pursue entrepreneurship? In a world where computers and software complete knowledge gaps in mathematics and pen-and-paper calculations, it barely seems necessary.

When are mathematics skills necessary?
Learning the general scheme is vital than knowing the basic calculations involved. The main aim is for one to possess a strong comprehension of mathematics concepts. Computers perform most of what is considered the real mathematics today for you.

The entrepreneur's job is to only enter in the right numbers and the software will provide the correct answers. It is mainly helpful when doing projections for sales, costs, and cash availability in a fast and accurate way. It is also useful in the production of financial projections and will come complete with charts and reports. No computations or generation of formulas or constructions of reports or graphs are done by the individual.

Important financial statements are designed through simple data entry; at the simple touch of a button, you will obtain income statements, balance sheets; revenue projections and yearly budgets; and an investigation of important performance metrics.

It looks like it is simple although, you must have the ability to comprehend the results. Precision is vital when entering numbers into a software application. Instead of simply placing trust on the software, it is important that you have your personal understanding of the mathematics because it will benefit you.

Do entrepreneurs perform well at math?
The work of an entrepreneurial can be well performed by those who have average -level mathematics ability. However, most successful entrepreneurs are excellent at mathematics by default because a good comprehension of the subject in the business world is vital.

How does the knowledge of mathematics help entrepreneurs?

Being an entrepreneur is exhausting, but a good understanding of mathematics may assist you to avoid some of the mistakes you will meet when managing one's own business. The ability to find a solution for two plus two is just not enough. Successful entrepreneurs use mathematical calculations to know probability, target potential consumers, estimate and pay taxes and compound investment success.

What other methods can help an entrepreneur perfect his mathematics abilities?
The ability to focus is the key to doing well in math. Since time is an important resource for entrepreneurs, it is vital that they must do well in mathematics in a fast and way. Regardless of how important it is, an entrepreneur has no extra time to go back to high school and learn mathematical notions

one needs to highlight the most important sections of mathematics, then choose college classes that pay attention paying to business mathematics applied to entrepreneurship, and know which concepts will most probably appear repeatedly in real life situations.

PC and MAC Recovery - How Much Does Data Recovery Cost?

When your hard drive malfunctions it can mean that your files are corrupted, deleted or completely lost. However, the good news is that you can restore your files by using different methods. For example you can use software or even a PC and MAC recovery service who knows what they're doing.

How much does data recovery cost then? It will vary greatly depending on what you need, what needs to be done and how it needs to be done. For example, if you only need simple software then you can often get by with $30-100.

If you need to send your hard drive in to a company the price can range from a few hundred to a few thousand. If you just accidentally deleted your files then a software is usually all you need to purchase.

PC and MAC recovery also differs, because some companies only recover PC hard drives, which means FAT32 or NTFS file systems, so you want to make sure that the company supports MAC if you have one of them.

You should also know that if you have a hard drive that is malfunctioning, you should shut it off immediately because having it on can and often will make matters much worse. There are many mistakes people make that can pile up unnecessary costs because your hard drive has been damaged further.

You should also be aware of the fact that you should ask for a price upfront, because you can be in for quite a shock if you send in your hard drive. Many companies start their prices at $500-700 and can go up to $5,000.

The good news is that there are companies out there that service people like you and me who cannot afford to pay those amounts.

Electrical Engineering - Online Studies

The use of power is vital to everyday living from turning on the lights to driving a car. Using power in these ways and more is made possible by harnessing electricity and delivering it across the nation. Many accredited online schools offer specific study to teach students how to do this. Work in this field can be broad or more specialized. Students can enter online programs in electrical engineering to learn about different aspects of the industry.

Education is focused on teaching students how to generate and supply the use of power. Professionals constantly adapt with new technology and techniques to bring electricity into every aspect of life. Study has students focusing primarily on science, math, engineering, and information technology depending on the degree. Many different options are available to students that are interested in electrical engineering. The common starting point is earning a bachelor's degree and working up to a master's. Studies within these two degree levels teach general and in depth knowledge.
Online schools provide students with studies at every level of education.
  • An associate's degree is popular for employees to advance in their company because study is a general overview of electrical engineering. Online education at this level teaches students about the industry while training them how to create, develop, test, and manage electrical equipment. This equipment can be big like working with power plant infrastructures or small like an electric motor. Working with power systems or equipment manufacturing are two options available to trained individuals.
  • A bachelor's degree provides students with general education like English and science. Students decide on a specialty that they will focus on inside the industry their senior year or when they continue education to a master's degree. Online study at the bachelor's level takes on average four years to complete. Students learn foundational concepts and principles with overall instruction in electrical engineering. These concepts include power circuits, electricity basics, digital electronics, and electromagnetic fields. Semiconductor devices, signals, and thermodynamics make up some of the courses that focus on using electricity to power the nation.
  • Furthering education with a master's degree gives students the opportunity to study and specialize in one area of the profession. The overall purpose of a master's degree online is to advance students inside their personal career. Learning focuses on technical skills that can be applied to research and design of electrical engineering systems. Through specialized study students can learn communication, networking, circuit design, and more. Advanced careers open to students that earn a master's degree.
  • A PhD is almost exclusively for students that want to enter research based careers or contribute to the field by becoming a professor. Study is often coupled with career training through placement programs. Placement programs are practical experience courses where student's work inside the field to gain further understanding of learned concepts. Studies prepare students to be able to enter the field and work with almost every industry from entertainment to mechanics.
Earning a degree is obtainable at home making it possible for more individuals to get an education. When students enter a program that is entirely online they receive instruction that is no different than attending a traditional college. Accredited online schooling allows students to finish school from home while they continue to work. Accrediting agencies like the Distance Education and Training Council (www.detc.org) provide proof of a quality education. Electrical engineering online studies can provide a way for students interested in electricity to earn a satisfying education.

How Does AirPlay Work?

What is AirPlay?

What is AirPlay? AirPlay is a protocol developed by Apple which lets you stream music, pictures, films (any media really) wirelessly. This streaming is usually done from an Apple device or piece of software such as an iPad, iPhone, iPod touch or just using iTunes on your computer to a set of speakers, receiver or Apple TV. This is all done wirelessly and has a range of several hundred feet.
If you have one set of speakers at one end of your house, and a second set of speakers at the other end, using your iPhone you could select your favourite song to be playing on both sets of speakers in two different rooms. Another great use of AirPlay would be if you were watching a movie on your iPad and wanted the sound to be a little louder or better quality. You would just set up the sound to come out of the speakers.

Which Systems are AirPlay compatible?
Although AirPlay is designed by Apple and available on speakers designed by Apple there are also third party manufacturers who make AirPlay compatible speakers. So what Apple do is grant the manufacturers a licence to use the software which allows compatibility with Apple software or hardware.

What are the main benefits of AirPlay?
• Range - Bluetooth has a range of around 30 feet, where as AirPlay has a range of hundreds of feet because it's based on Wi-Fi.

• Steaming to multiple devices - If you have several 3 AirPlay speakers you can stream to all of them.

• Not just the streaming of audio - movies and pictures can also be streamed with AirPlay technology.

• No need to leave your apple hardware docked in the speaker; just keep it with you so you can easily change song.

How can I connect my Apple device to AirPlay?
You can connect your device to AirPlay speakers with essentially two methods. Firstly you can use a home network using your wireless router. Then it's simply a job of connecting your AirPlay product to that network. For the second method you need an Apple Airport Express which connects all your Apple devices together regardless of whether you have an internet connection or not. Just connect the Airport device to pretty much any set of speakers (they don't even need to be AirPlay speakers because the Airport Express makes them compatible) and you're ready to stream.

Once a device is on the wireless network or connected via Airport other an AirPlay source, such as an iPod Nano, automatically detects it. There is no need to manually add the system. Then just select the song or film and away you go. If you're using a home network, and you have a poor or slow internet connection, it's possible that there will be dropouts or pauses in the media (especially movies). Using an Airport Express this should virtually never happen.

Which software are AirPlay speakers are based on?
Of course there is all the software needed to get the devices to talk and interact with each other too. But that technology is not exactly new. In 2002 Apple introduced Rendezvous (later renamed Bonjour) that allowed the discovery of services on a local area network without major configuration.

Shrimp Linguine With Homemade Red Pesto - Quick and Easy

Here is a simple and tasty recipe for shrimp lovers. You could be eating this delicious dish in as little as half an hour! Home-made Pesto is super-easy to make, and always impresses.

As far as the shrimp goes, I suggest buying frozen, pre-shelled shrimps, as the shelling process is usually pretty annoying. The recipe does not go into details about the need to boil the pasta, but I assume, hopefully correctly, that you can multi-task and cook pasta as you are preparing the pesto.
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb Raw Shrimps, no shells or tails
  • 3/4 lb linguine, cooked
  • 1 cup sun-dried tomatoes, in oil
  • 1/2 red bell pepper
  • 3/4 cup canola oil
  • 1/4 cup Olive oil, cold-pressed
  • 1/4 cup fresh parmesan, grated
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts, roasted
Pesto preparation: In a small blender or mixer, puree the sun-dried tomatoes, red bell pepper, oil, grated parmesan and pine nuts.
Pour about 2/3 of the pesto in a pan; heat on medium heat and add shrimps. As soon as the shrimp change color, remove from heat and add pasta; stir well. Add a little cooking water from the pasta, mix and serve.
Add Red Pesto to taste on individual plates.

Voila! A very simple dish to make and serve, and that is sure to please every palate!
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Since shrimp, like all seafood, is very high in cholesterol, this dish is not something to have every day if you are planning on reaching middle age. Best had in moderation, with good friends and a good bottle of wine.

iPhone Troubleshooting - Blank or Black Screen iPhone Problems

So, Your iPhone has a Blank or Black Screen

So, you have a problem with your iPhone screen and are looking to fix it. Troubleshooting your iPhone to find and fix the cause of the problem often is quite easy and simple to fix. The best way of looking at this is to go through different solutions in step by step fashion making sure nothing is left out. As a result of this approach you may feel that you want to skip some step or you have tried some methods before. I'd urge you to go through each step to make sure you've tried everything. Apologies if you've tried some approaches before!

Now, the best way to do this is to go through a process step by step, apologies if you have already tried some of these but it is often best to be thorough!

So step one in troubleshooting an iPhone with a blank or black screen is to plug it into your computer or a power supply. Often a low battery is a cause of this and making sure your phone has a good connection with your computer and leaving it for 5 minutes can solve the problem.

Step two. If your iPhone isn't working after 5 minutes or so and you've made sure it has a good connection with your computer but your computer is recognizing the device you can put the iPhone into hard reset mode. Before you do this make sure you have backed up the information on your iPhone on your computer. To put the iPhone into hard rest mode press and hold the home button and the power button at the same time. Hold them both for ten seconds you should hear a beep from the one and or see an apple on the screen. If you see an apple on the screen you can take it that hard rest (or Device Firmware Update (DFU) mode has worked. Then simply reinstall apps and data on to your iPhone.

Step three. If the previous steps haven't worked and you still have a blank or black screen then you potentially have two problems. The first one, if your computer is not recognizing the iPhone is a problem with the power into the phone. Now this could be the power cable or the power cable socket in the phone. Try swapping power cables with a friend or relative and see if this works. If not then you have a problem with the power socket in the phone. At this point it is worth taking into a shop to get repaired, this shouldn't be too expensive make sure you take it to several places and get several quotes before you decide to go for a repair.

Step four. If your phone is being recognized by your computer but DFU mode hasn't resolved your problem then the problem resides with the screen itself or the power supply to the screen inside the phone. Both of these can be damaged if there is any trauma to the iPhone. If your screen is blank as opposed to black I would suggest that the problem is much more likely to be in the mechanics of the screen. The screen can be replaced at home, but does require some equipment and technical ability. (Note: this may void any warranty you have and as such is not endorsed by the author.) Again, if you take it to a repair shop make sure you get several opinions and quotes before settling on one to do the replacement.

The power supply to the screen inside the iPhone is even trickier to replace and really shouldn't be attempted at home, follow the same advice as getting a screen replacement at a repair shop (lots of different quotes etc)

I hope you find this article useful and troubleshooting your iPhone in this manner has solved your black or blank screen problems!

Raw Food Diet

Processed and fast foods or junk foods will never make you lean or beautiful. The unatural chemicals, additives and ingredients will infact accelerate and deteriorate your life force.

Our culture has so manty ailments and suffers more from obesity and the side effect thereof than at any other time in history. Yet we have the best doctors, most advanced medical technology and researchers that money can buy.

It seems our understanding of healthy is far removed from the truth. Our over-eagerness to turn to pills or fad diets to cure our symptoms instead of changing our unhealthy diet bears witness to this fact.

Think about it, your average dinner (or lunch) probably consists of a mat combined with some kind of starch, like potato, rice, bread or pasta. This can take up to eight hours of digestion in the stomach.
Your body will concentrate as much physical energy as it can on breaking down this meal and trying to eliminate the waste and toxins. You'll proably eat again befor the meal is digested fully, so your body starts again with digestion and never gets a chance to actually properly recover and spend energy on healing itself and properly eliminating stored toxins.

These toxins will begin to accumulate in various areas of the body and you begin to feel the side effects of sluggishness, tiredness, sudden allergies, foggy brain syndrome.

A raw food diet will use natural food in their most simple form to cleanse the body of toxins that keep you from being vibrantly healthy and lean.

Frogger iPhone App

The game of Frogger brings back memories for people in their forties. The game was such a classic it was even on an episode of Seinfeld. Who could forget George Costanza wheeling the Frogger across the street trying to save his high game, moving in and out of traffic just like Frogger himself, only to have the game smashed up by a Mac truck. Now Frogger has become a favorite of people of all ages again thanks to the iPhone.

Developed by Konami Digital Entertainment, who are also known for games like Silent Hill and Pro Evolution Soccer, Frogger is a game produced in 1981 that many first started playing in the arcade and then in their homes. It has remained popular and you will find Frogger games on various websites throughout the internet even today. The Frogger iPhone app means you can now play wherever you go.

The game was originally going to be called "Highway Crossing Frog" but Sega didn't feel like this name upheld the nature of the game and decided to change the name to Frogger. Now the name of this game has pretty much become a household name. There is not many people you run into that can honestly say they have never heard of Frogger.

Frogger as an iPhone application is a brilliant idea and apparently a pretty popular one. Frogger ranks as the number 8 most downloaded app in the iPhone app store. There have been many reviewers who stated that the quality of the iPhone app was outstanding and gameplay compares to the original. While the graphics seem to be improved some reviewers still seem to crave the possibility of being able to change the game screen to the 1980's retro look of the original Frogger.

From the 1980's until now, Frogger seems to have stood the test of time in the video game entertainment industry. From the arcade to the playstation, and now from the computer to the iPhone who ever thought that a little green frog jumping in and out of traffic would still be popular a quarter of a century later. Now thanks to the Apple iPhone you can play this classic arcade game wherever you are and wherever you go.

How to Find the Right Sources For Education Grant Benefits and Opportunities Through Federal Grants

Nowadays, only few wealthy and rich students are capable to pay their fees promptly for their college education. Such types of students are also very meager in ratio. There is no doubt in it. Every student will have to pay minimum 20,000 dollars as an average cost per academic year for four years continuously in a private college. Out of this amount, nearly 50 percent, every student will have to pay additionally for the average tuition for a public university and another 50 percent for the formidable tuition at a community college.

In this difficult situation, the college grant is considered as a very helpful source to curtail educational funds minimal and which are hopefully available for needy students. Students are also seeking this type of money grant and especially they are sincerely longing for student-type or subject-specific grant. But many grants are especially featured advantageously for satisfying minority people and low income students. Federal Grants: Through federal grants, the federal government is granting enormous amount of money for college students as a first time. These grants are mainly forwarded through "No child left behind act". Through this act, more primary and secondary school's kids are coming into an account attentively for getting their education in a prompt manner without any partiality based on any kind of reason.

Due to such financial grand and assistance, a higher percentage of high school students are getting diplomas. Then they are having more chance to continue their studies in attending college with the right financial and social resources. Even educators also more anxious and they are enthusiastically encouraging more students with their experience and guidance to the right academic and career choices. There are some federal grant programs sincerely offering financial grants for hundreds of thousands of students as their vital help. They are as follows:-

This fundamental grant program is basically switched on by the mercy of the federal government's budgetary and political whims. But at the same time, this is acting as a precious source of funding for helpless undergraduate students.

2. The Academic Competitiveness (AC) Grant: this grant is especially available to all undergraduate freshman and sophomores. Students those who are with extra ordinary academic records and with demonstrated brilliance for leadership and service, can utilize this grant properly. Besides, students with prompt qualification also can avail the Pell Grant easily.

Fresh Clams in White Wine Sauce With Linguine

This recipe is based on the Mediterranean aromatic herbs thyme, basil, chervil and red pepper. Many restaurants offer either a clam or cockle version of this recipe, though few use this combination of herbs. You'll find this recipe very pleasing and easy to digest.
One time, when we had a visiting Japanese engineer who loved seafood over for dinner at our home,

the gentleman was absolutely fascinated by our cooking style. He wasn't used to seeing seafood cooked this way. He watched as we cooked and listened as we explained our cooking methods. He loved watching the "show." He kept saying "I'm going to be so full I won't have to eat again for days!" We assured him that this recipe breaks down very gently and tomorrow morning we'd be picking him up

for breakfast at the usual time.
Sure enough, the next morning when my husband went to pick him up at his hotel, as he got in the car he said, "You are right! I'm hungry!
On our next trip to Japan, when we all went out together with a group of his colleagues, he was still

going on about this recipe and how good it tastes and how well you feel after eating it.
I hope that you have the same experience!
Preparation time: 15 minutes

Cooking time: 20 minutes

Makes 2 Servings
Ingredients.

  • 3 to 4 Dozen small Clams or Cockles
  • 1/2 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 4 to 6 cloves garlic , sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon Dried Thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon Dried Basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Dried Chervil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
  • 3/4 cup White wine
  • 1 cup Italian parsley chopped
  • 1/2 pound Linguine
Preparation Directions.

  1. Clean and scrub the clams, and discard any open ones.
  2. In a large stockpot heat the olive oil over low heat, add the garlic and saute until just fragrant.
  3. Turn up the heat to medium-high and add the clams. Cover the pan and steam the clams until they open,
about 3-5 minutes. Occasionally shake the pan to help them cook.
  4. Check the clams. Those that didn't open, take a small paring knife and try to help them open.
If they open and smell good, then you can use them. The stubborn and/or the bad smelling ones, discard.
  5. Turn down heat to medium-low and remove the lid. Pour the wine over the clams and deglaze.
Remove the clams to a side dish, cover to stay warm.
  6. Add the herbs and reduce the wine by 1/3. When reduced, stir in the parsley and remove
    form the heat.
  7. Meanwhile, cook linguine in a large stockpot or pasta pot of boiling salted water. When the pasta is
al dente, drain the pasta, then toss the pasta with the sauce.
  8. Divide the pasta between individual dinner plates. Arrange the clams attractively around each plate
and serve with a little additional fresh parsley on top for garnish.
Serving Suggestions.
It is important to choose a wine with enough acidity to stand up to the reduced wine in the sauce.

This particular dish goes very well with a robust white wine like a good Chardonnay or Viognier.
For a more daring selection choose a chilled dry Prosecco.

Kindle Vs iPad - Will the iPad's Novelty Put the Lights Out of the Kindle?

Putting together a side-by-side Kindle vs iPad review, which device will likely prevail? No doubt about it, the Apple iPad, with its very recent much-talked about launch, is the "in" thing today. Hardcore Apple consumers can hardly wait to get their hands on one as the WiFi versions are expected to ship in late March, while the 3G models are arriving in April. When that time comes, we will no doubt see long lines in front of every Apple store as what happened with the release of the iPhone.

But what of the eBook readers like the Amazon Kindle and the Sony Reader? The e-reader has slowly become a mainstream consumer device, with the Kindle getting the bigger share of the consumer market. Seeing the potential however, many such eBook readers have also cropped up. But the entry of tablet PCs like the iPad which can also more than ably function as an eBook reader may shift the demand to multi-functional devices. Can the iPad really make a significant dent on the eBook reader industry? Let's weigh the factors.

Starting with the negative, the iPad will be connected to Apple's own e-book store. This makes sense for those who are still thinking of buying an eBook reading gadget, but if you already own a ton of digital books, you won't be able to dump them into the iPad. Actual eBook prices are still to be confirmed but there's talk that purchasing iBooks in the Apple e-book store is going to run you around $12.99 and $14.99. This can be a little pricey if you have to start from scratch. Plus, Amazon's ebooks are still retailing at $9.99 apiece.

Still, getting an iPad has its own set of benefits as it's a device that can serve a lot of functions. You will be able to use this big iPhone clone, sans the "phone" to watch high-def movies, TV, browse the web, and play games on a 9.7 inch IPS touch screen. Sticking with Apple standards, the clarity and color is amazing, and it comes with your choice of a 16-GB, 32-GB or 64-GB internal storage. Depending on your needs, prices start out at $499 and end at $829.

On the other hand, the Amazon Kindle is a device designed with the user's most comfortable and convenient reading experience in mind. Unlike the LCD screen of the iPad, the Kindle is equipped with e-ink display, which many say, is still best for reading for longer periods of time. The Kindle's battery can last up to two weeks without recharging, so it could also make the perfect traveling companion. The 6-inch model is priced at $259, while the 9.7-inch Kindle DX costs $489.

So which gets our thumbs up in this Kindle vs iPad comparison? Without a doubt, for the gadget geek, the iPad will fit perfectly alongside the MacBook Pro, AirPort Express, Magic Mouse and its smaller counter-part in looks, the iPhone. But for the bookworm just looking to read in the most conducive "environment" and don't require all of the other stuff, the Kindle is still the best choice on the market today.

Improve Your Math Ability With Subliminal Messages

Working with even basic math problems can be troubling for some people, and this condition will only grow worse as they move into more and more advanced concepts and problems. Since math is an important part of education and even life, the ability to think of it in a positive light is an important step in learning math successfully. Often, one bad experience can overshadow the rest of your math education, but it does not have to when you have the tools you need to be successful.

The Power of Positive Thinking
Math can be challenging, but when you see a problem do you look at is as a challenge that you can overcome, or an insurmountable obstacle in your path to success? For many people, the idea of math is one that is associated with insurmountable obstacles, which simply must be dealt with in order to move on educationally.

The simple facts show that anyone who looks at math in a more positive way is more likely to study more, and use that study time in a more productive manner. The way that you think about math will either perpetuate or limit your success in the subject, making subliminal messages an excellent way to change the way you see math to help you be more positive and successful in the future.

How to Use Subliminal Messages
Subliminal messages are a great tool that you can use to change your perspective on math. You can use a subliminal CD to help you make the most of the study time you have. You may notice that you begin looking forward to math class rather than dreading it, or that you are opening your math book more often to catch up on some concepts that you didn't fully understand in class, and your general focus and concentration, and ability to retain the information will improve.

Math and Games: The Key to Effective Learning

We are all aware that in academics, Math is one of the toughest subjects since it involves numbers and a lot of solving. It makes you think and rationalize every detail of your solution. But are you also aware that math can be fun if you put some thrill and excitement to it? It can be achieved if you incorporate math in fun activity like a game.

Math and games if combined together can improve your child's learning habit. Games can make learning math fun, exciting and engaging. They can offer a lot of benefits not only to improve but also to make the learning not very stressful and tedious. Children will be able to practice basic and primary arithmetic facts without the tiresome worksheets. This will also help them to practice with fun.

One example of a math game is done with the use of flash cards. You can let your child play with friends. You can flash the cards quickly containing different operations. Have them quickly tell you their answers, and the first child to answer correctly is the winner. Your child will be able to think harder and exercise his or her ability well knowing that he or she is competing with others.
A game using number jugglers will encourage your child to think while playing. This is done with the combination of a designed and customized deck of cards with a colorful book consists of 20 games. This game can be flexible and adaptable since all ages can play this game. You can also play this together with your family. Your child's algebra ability will surely be enhanced by this kind of game.

Another usual math game is a number- placement puzzle, commonly known as Sudoku. This game aims to fill a 9x9 grid that contains digits from 1 to 9. When you have completed the game, then it will form a square, one single number must not appear twice in the square, but in all columns and rows there must appear all of the 9x9 sub regions. This is a logic-based game and can be done alone. Your child will be able to learn to exercise their brain using logic which is a useful tool in mathematics.

Using some games in teaching math enable students to plan their strategies and moves. When they play, they tend to think of their moves which can be a very good exercise using their minds. They will also be able to use their knowledge of mathematics in winning the game. Playing also can help them cooperate with their classmates and helping them also to prepare for the real life situations.
It is essential that as a parent or a teacher you also know how to create ways on how to teach your student effectively. Learning is best achieved when there is interaction and cooperation. In a math class, where everything seems to complicated, it is better that the children feel comfortable while learning. Games can make the child competent. This can be a way in preparing them in facing the different aspects of life. Hence, it is significant that you as a teacher should not just rely on papers and worksheets. Interaction and fun with the use of math and games can also be the key to effective math learning.

Are you wondering whether you should try one of the countless meal delivery services in your area? After all, the temptation can be great. There's a great variety of cuisines that would become available to you by ordering: Chinese, German, Spanish, Japanese cuisine, etc... Even Thai food delivery services exist. On the other hand, many people don't trust these services and advice against using them.

Although the question is not as black and white as some people would like to believe, it's not too difficult to decide whether these services are right for you. Here are the pros and cons you should consider before taking a side.

Pros of Food Delivery Services

Variety

If you start researching this topic, you'll be amazed at how many different meal delivery services exist. You can order everything from cakes, cookies, vegetables, yogurts, fruits to main dishes like BBQ, lasagna, pork chops, steaks, soups and so on. With the addition of exotic foods like Chinese food, Indian food or Thai food, the list becomes almost a hundred percent complete. This wide variety can become very satisfying, especially if your own cooking skills are not the best.

Free time

This is one of the biggest reasons that meal delivery services are popular. By not having to waste your time in the kitchen you can easily save yourself hours of boring work every day. I'm sure you could spend your time a lot better than struggling to cook something in the kitchen.

Health Benefits

Believe it or not, many of the available food delivery options can be good for your health. You can order delicious, healthy meals that fit your lifestyle perfectly. These fresh, low-fat and calorie managed feasts can help you live healthier or even lose some weight.

Cons of Food Delivery Services

Price

It's one of the biggest issues related to delivery services. Most of these businesses are going to be costly, whether you need Chinese, European or Thai food delivery. While the costs are quite reasonable, there are some people who simply cannot afford them.

Artificial Flavors

While it doesn't hold true in all cases, it must be noted that there are many restaurants that will bring you stale meals prepared with food additives like MSG, trans-fats or artificial sweeteners.

The above mentioned guidelines can point everyone in the right direction. There isn't a "one size fits all" solution to this question, everyone has to decide for themselves whether they want to take advantage of these services or not (e.g. Italian food delivery, Chinese food delivery, Thai food delivery, etc).

Although food delivery services weren't invented with everyone in mind, there are some people who can hugely benefit from them. If you're a busy man or woman you must be familiar with the time it takes to prepare something edible for yourself. It can take hours of hard work even if you don't reach the desired results. So if you're pressed for time and would love to relax sometimes a bit, definitely go ahead and try out one of the numerous food delivery services in your area.

Coolmath - Make Math More Fun

A math tutor article by Scotts Digital, a Singapore marketing company for math tutor in Singapore.:-

Ensuring your child has the best chance at education is highly important to most parents. However with so many different activities and entertainment around, homework seems at the bottom of their list, seemingly dull, boring and totally unimportant to them. If they then start to struggle and fall behind, or don't quite understand numeracy, they may struggle to keep up with the rest of the class and then they don't want to go to school.

You have to find a way to somehow make maths seem cool. As concerned parents you do not want to stop them having fun, but you also know how important their education is in order to help them succeed in life. Maths gets used every day and in almost all walks of life so you need to get them to learn coolmath to aid their education.

What can you do? If this sounds like your child, fear not, there is another alternative. Think for a second, if your child loves games and playing around, and that's all they really want to do is to have fun! How about combining maths with games and introducing some coolmath to their routine? There are some brilliant ways to do this by teaching them using maths board games, games sheets and card games and many more. This will pretty much allow you to tackle what they want and what you want!

Using a successful technique has been used many times (I used to love playing card games the most, especially when there was money involved to win ;-) it makes it very much fun! You will find the child may not even be aware they are doing boring math homework as you are making learning seem like a game that they want to play and win at! Of course whilst playing these math games, they will be also learning at the same time - a great way to help both of you connect.

Skills they may learn include basic numeracy skills, adding up, multiplication, subtraction and divide as well as the key skills of thinking outside of the box. No need to continue to struggle, give coolmath package a look, it could help your child enhance their learning abilities as well as helping you spend fun time with them, for great quality family time.

History of Baking

Baking has been many cultures' favorite technique for creating snacks, desserts, and accompaniments to meals for many years. Now, it is very well-known as the method for creating sweets and all sorts of wondrous mouthwatering pastries. In ancient history, the first evidence of baking occurred when humans took wild grass grains, soaked it in water, and mixed everything together, mashing it into a kind of broth-like paste. Then, the paste was cooked by pouring it onto a flat, hot rock, resulting in a bread-like substance. Later, this paste was roasted on hot embers, which made bread-making easier, as it could now be made anytime fire was created. Around 2500 B.C., records show that the Egyptians already had bread, and may have actually learned the process from the Babylonians. The Greek Aristophanes, around 400 B.C., also recorded information that showed that tortes with patterns and honey flans existed in Greek cuisine. Dispyrus was also created by the Greeks around that time and widely popular; was a donut-like bread made from flour and honey and shaped in a ring; soaked in wine, it was eaten when hot.

In the Roman Empire, baking flourished widely. In about 300 B.C., the pastry cook became an occupation for Romans (known as the pastillarium). This became a very highly respected profession because pastries were considered decadent, and Romans loved festivity and celebration. Thus, pastries were often cooked especially for large banquets, and any pastry cook who could invent new types of tasty treats, unseen at any other banquet, was highly prized. Around 1 A.D., there were more than three hundred pastry chefs in Rome alone, and Cato wrote about how they created all sorts of diverse foods, and flourished because of those foods. Cato speaks of an enormous amount of breads; included amongst these are the libum (sacrificial cakes made with flour), placenta (groats and cress), spira (our modern day flour pretzels), scibilata (tortes), savaillum (sweet cake), and globus apherica (fritters). A great selection of these, with many different variations, different ingredients, and varied patterns, were often found at banquets and dining halls. To bake bread, the Romans used an oven with its own chimney and had grain mills to grind grain into flour.

Eventually, because of Rome, the art of baking became widely known throughout Europe, and eventually spread to the eastern parts of Asia. Bakers often baked goods at home and then sold them in the streets-children loved their goods. In fact, this scene was so common that Rembrandt illustrated a work that depicted a pastry chef selling pancakes in the streets of Germany, and young children surrounding him, clamoring to get a sample. In London, pastry chef sold their goods in handcarts, which were very convenient shops on wheels. This way, they developed a system of "delivery" baked goods to people's households, and the demand for baked goods increased greatly as a result. Finally, in Paris, the first open-air café of baked goods was developed, and baking became an established art throughout the entire world.

Experience As a Peer Tutor

In my experience as a tutor, I can definitely say that it is one of several enjoyable jobs that a college-graduate such as I can have. The reason is tutoring is not about providing direct answers to students nor is it about doing tutee assignments but rather about being a wonderful and great contributor to student success. The keyword "success" is what drives a tutee's impetus to look for a tutor because of the need to succeed. Thus, my experience as a tutor has been merely the devotion to student success. I have been helping students in the academic milieu succeed in their subjects. The major subjects I've tutored in the past comprises of Mathematics, Computer Science, Liberal Arts and Calculus tutoring. These subjects are one of my favorites indeed to tutor students and they are considered to be the most complex or intricate that most students entangle with in the academic milieu.

In my previous years working as a Peer-Tutor, I certainly did an excellent job helping other students with their subjects especially in grasping the abstract concepts of Mathematics. Out of all the subjects I've tutored in the past, Mathematics seems to be the one that most students struggle with. That which I have done to facilitate student understanding and relationship with math is by providing very intelligible, concise, and simple explanations including demonstrations of the relationships amongst the concepts thus, facilitating the students' understanding of mathematical structures. I have also been certified to tutor students at the regular 1 level thus, earning a CRLA certification from my academic institution. All the students I tutored in the past have made tremendous progress in Mathematics and are now themselves tutors.

With regard to my past experience as a Computer-Science tutor, I have helped students master purely object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C++, C#, and Visual-Basic. Additionally, SQL is one other programming language that I've tutored in the past with extensive knowledge in the Relational-Database-Management Theory known as Normalization. The relationship between Computer Science and Mathematics tutees are that they both had difficulties with comprehending the abstruse terminologies such as objects, Pointers, Arrays, Polymorphic instances, abstract-classes, Composite-Functions, Infinite-Series, etc. That which I did to simplify the ambiguous, abstruse terminologies was merely providing simple examples, which facilitated the visualization of the concepts and translated them into diagrammatic, schematic representations. All together, the tutees were able to concisely and intuitively perceive the intrinsic natures of the purely abstract objects of both Mathematics and Computer Science.

This overall description of my past experience speaks for itself and therefore lays out the breadth of my tutoring background. If I were to include more, I would probably overwhelm the media with such experience. I have only included a portion of my experience, which is sufficient to present explicitly to the external viewers about my past experience as a Math & Computer Science tutor. Significantly, Math and Computer Science have an intrinsic relationship that merely surpasses all other disciplines; this makes Math and Computer Science at a top-notch level that is more essential to master than other subjects. Therefore, I advise students to look at Computer Science from a purely mathematical stance with additional tutoring provided by Wyzant so that mathematics and computer science can become very simple.

The Top 10 Italian Inventions That Have Changed the World

Italians are known for their explorers, famous opera singers and brilliant chefs. But what we might not be aware of is that Italians are also great inventors. In fact, many objects that we use in our daily lives would not be there if curious, imaginative and skillful Italian folk had not created them!

These are 10 Italian inventions that most of us use daily:

Cologne

After long historical debates it has been proven that the inventor of Cologne was Gian Paolo Feminis. He emigrated to the small city of Cologne, in Germany from a village near Santa Maria Maggiore in Piemonte, where he passed his secret recipe on to a fellow villager, Giovanni Maria Farina.

In 1708 Giovanni Maria Farina wrote to his brother; "I have discovered a scent that reminds me of a spring morning in Italy, of mountain narcissus, orange blossom just after the rain. It gives me great refreshment, strengthens my senses and imagination." He would come to name this new composition Eau de Cologne.

In 1709 Gian Paolo Feminis made his own cologne, called "Aqua Admirabilis"- which quickly became one of Napoleon's favorites.

Ice cream cone

"Would you like a cup or a cone?" - has become an ordinary question that we answer almost without thinking. It is hard for us to imagine that only a hundred years ago ice-cream was sold in serving glasses called "penny licks" (because you had to lick the ice cream from the glass, and it cost a penny to do so). As you can guess, it was not very sanitary, nor convenient. Glasses would break; people would often walk off with them and on hot summer days, the poor ice vendors were not able to keep up with demand, because they were constantly washing glasses returned by other customers.

Fortunately, in 1896 an enterprising salesman, Italo Marchiony, started selling the first edible containers filled with ice cream. Seven years later he also obtained a patent for a machine that produced edible ice cream cones that many of us like so much.

Pizza

'Pizza' is one of the very few words which is understood all over the world. And there is no doubt about the origin of this cheesy snack. The first pizza was "invented" in Naples around 1860s and was served without cheese. In 1889 to impress Queen Margherita of Savoy during her visit to Naples, she was served a pizza resembling the colors of the Italian flag, red (tomato), white (mozzarella) and green (basil). Rumors have it that she loved it and the delighted Neapolitans named this type of pizza after the queen - Pizza Margherita.

Eyeglasses

The thirteenth century Italian monk, Salvino D'Armate is credited with inventing wearable eye glasses, complete with convex and concave lenses. The first eyeglasses were balanced on the bridge of the nose, as stems were introduced four centuries later.

The espresso machine

You might ask yourself what inspired a person to invent an espresso machine? The answer is simple - frustration! In 1903 Luigi Bezzera, the owner of a manufacturing business in Milan, became really frustrated with how long it took his employees to take their coffee break. He figured that if he could find a way to speed up the coffee making process, his employees would spend less time on their coffee breaks and more time working. His coffee maker (which he patented the same year) used a combination of water and steam, forced under high pressure, to brew the coffee at a rapid pace. Bezzera called his new method "espresso," which in Italian means "pressed out." Despite his brilliant invention, his employees continue to take long coffee breaks, spending less time brewing the coffee and more time enjoying it. J

The typewriter

There is no single answer to the question who was the first real inventor of the typewriter? What we do know is, that in 1808, Pellegrino Turri supplied a typewriter to a blind countess whose letters have been preserved up to this day.

Pretzels

What can be better than a warm, freshly-baked pretzel sprinkled with salt crystals and dipped in yellow mustard dressing? Surprisingly enough, we have an Italian monk to thank for this yummy treat. In 610, he was baking unleavened bread for Lent when he had a brilliant idea to reward the small children who had learned their prayers. He twisted the dough so it looked like arms crossing the chest in supplication, baked it, and named it "pretiola", or "little reward" in Latin. When 'pretiola' arrived in Germany, they started to call it 'bretzel'.And 1400 years later we are still munching on the monk's delicious invention.

Violin

The first violin was created by Andrea Amati in Cremona. The knowledge of violin making continued to pass through the Amati family for several generations. Eventually, the highly prized and secret method of creating violins found its way to two men: Antonio Stradivari (1644-1737) and Andrea Guarneri (1626-1698). Very few violins from this era still exist, they are the most expensive and most highly prized violins today. The Vieuxtemps Guarneri violin, named after a 19th century musician Henri Vieuxtemps, was put up for auction this year for an astounding price of $18 million, making it the most expensive musical instrument in the world!

Modern Banks

Strange as it may sound, the first modern banks appeared not in Switzerland, but in Genoa in 12th century. During this time there was a need to transfer large sums of money to finance the Crusades, allowing the movement of money without the usual risk of robbery while traveling. In 1156 two Genoese brothers borrowed 115 pounds and agreed to reimburse the bank's agents in Constantinople the sum of 460 bezants one month after their arrival in that city. This is known as the earliest foreign exchange contract. It is worth mentioning that the world's oldest bank still in business can also be found in Italy. It is the Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena and it has been operating since 1472.

Jacuzzi

The invention of the Jacuzzi (pronounced "Yakutzi" in Italy) is often attributed to Roy Jacuzzi, an Italian immigrant to the US. However, there is some evidence that the real inventor was Candido Jacuzzi, who in 1968 incorporated jets into the sides of the tub to help his 15-month-old son, suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, relieve pain.

It is certain that after the Jacuzzi Brothers introduced their Whirlpool bath at a California's Orange County Fair, it quickly became a symbol of a luxurious lifestyle!

History Of Russian Food

Ever wondered in a Russian restaurant and got amazed by the amount of calories that each dish contained? Or, maybe, thought why do these Russians eat that vegetable soup with meat, then pasta with meat and then have that sugar-rich drink with plenty of fruit? Read on, for we are about to tell you where the Russian food is coming from and, most importantly, why is it this way.

For starters, let's remember that Russia, aside from being a land of Tsars, Bolsheviks, Revolution, Perestroika and Sputnik is a vast amounts of land. It's so big it takes almost 1/6th of total surface of all land on Earth. Apparently, the climate there isn't always friendly. In fact, most of the Russia's land experiences cold weather approximately 7 - 8 months in a year. Which doesn't leave much for warm-loving crops, animals and other growing or running food that one can procure.

Such conditions required that prepared food has to be easily preserved and provided enough energy for people to survive during long cold months when procurement of food was hard or not possible. This has led to dishes like "borsh" - heavy vegetable soup with cabbage, beet and, in some recipes, small pieces of meat, "okroshka" - another heavy soup based on kvas or kefir with (varying from recipe to recipe) pre-boiled eggs, cucumbers, potato, small cubes of meat, onions and a number of additional ingredients or ever famous "pelmeni" (aka ravioli) - a nice little pack of meat (proteins) and dough (carbs, fiber) that is very easy to prepare and consume.

It has also created a number of dry snacks, that are well preserved and usually consumed together with some sort of alcoholic drink (beer, vodka, "samogon") as those too provide high energy boost and produce sense of warmness, necessary during cold times.

Most of traditional Russian meals are not spicy. However, being such a vast land, Russia inevitably happen to be the place where East and West would cross their paths. Roads from Asia lead to Europe - all the way through Russian spaces. Apparently, getting spices and other condiments, not custom to original Russian foods, was much easier business for cooks in Russia, than it was for Europeans. The fact that this land had been a place of many crossroads also explains why Russian food has meals similar to those in many different countries. For example, Russian vareniki or pelmeni are very similar to ravioli from the West and dumplings from East.

The energy volume of Russian meals have been, so far, rarely superseded. Traditional Russian bread and milk breakfast is hardly anywhere near (calorie-wise) to any other breakfast - weather European or Asian. Russian "vareniki" or "pelmeni" with traditional sour cream are a killer meal that is quite heavy on proteins, carbs and fat.

Sarde in Saor (Venetian Style Sardines)

The humble Sardine is named after the Sardinian island where the sardine is found in abundance. Sardines are a superfood, they are not promoted as such because they are not deemed to be sexy, but they are packed with nutrients. Sardines, are a small, sleek and silvery sea fish, one of the few foods that contain Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), which is a natural nutrient found in the body's cells. As well as CoQ10, they contain vitamin B12, Vitamin D, selenium, omega-3 oils, phosphorous and protein. Fresh sardines are very popular in the Mediterranean diet and on Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, tourists consume fresh sardines grilled over the heat from a volcanic vent.

This beautiful blue fresh fish with a tinge of silver is revered all over the Mediterranean, the Spanish have a celebratory day to celebrate the Sardine. It can be found all over the Mediterranean on the beaches, five or six fresh sardines on a stick and chargrilled over a wooden fire. From Almeria to Gibraltar the prevailing smell on the beaches from June to October is the smell of the fresh sardines being cooked.

They are incredibly easy to fillet and use fresh as the taste is far superior to the canned variety, but because they are oily they are delicious when cooked over an open fire. To gut them turn the fish over in your hand so that the stomach the flesh part on the underside of the fish is near you. Poke your thumb through (there is no need to use any utensils for this, they are very soft). Work your thumb along the whole length of the stomach and open up, and pull out the stomach and entrail contents and discard. Wash the fish and the job is done. You should be able to fillet a kilo of sardines in less than ten minutes.

As nice as the fresh sardine is and for me they do taste better fresh, but it does not stop me eating the canned variety. They make a great breakfast on toasted wholemeal bread with freshly grilled tomatoes and lashings of black pepper and a little chilli oil drizzled over the top. The fact is that tinned sardines are cheap and extremely nutritious and they should not be hidden at the back of the store cupboard, to be taken out when unexpected and unwanted guests arrive.

The sardine recipe below is typical of Venetian cuisine, but the Sardinians and Sicilians and the Spanish have a similar dish influenced by the Moors. They add a tough of chilli and also golden raisins which become plump and delicious overnight. it is called escabeche or pickled fish and it best eaten at room temperature the day after preparing.

Ingredients
For the marinade
1 tablespoon olive oi
300g/10 1/2 oz onions, finely sliced
10 tablespoons red balsamic vinegar instead
100g/3 1/2 oz sugar
pinch of saffron strands

For the sardines

1kg/2lb 3oz very fresh sardines, cleaned, gutted and scaled
kosher salt, to taste
plain flour, for dusting
olive oil, for shallow frying
To serve
lemon wedges
chopped fresh parsley

Method

For the marinade, heat the oil in a pan and saute the onions until softened. Transfer the onions to a large bowl and mix with all the remaining marinade ingredients. Set aside.

For the sardines, lay the sardines on a floured board and sprinkle with salt. Shallow fry the sardines until golden in olive oil. Place the sardines into the bowl with the marinade and stir gently to coat the fish, but not break them.

Although this dish can be eaten immediately it is better the day after, because by then the sardine recipe has had time to absorb all the flavours.

Italian food is simple elegant and fabulous, it makes the most of the freshest ingredients. Italians don't ask how much food is they ask how fresh it is. The concept of a weekly shop is alien to them, their fruit and vegetables are bought every day. The fantastic thing about Italian food is the fact that they have no such thing; Italy was a separate conglomeration of states until 1870.

Each area has its own cuisine and that cuisine has been forged by Centuries of geographical area and history. For instance the food in the North West bears a closer relationship to mid European food because it was influenced by its neighbour the Austro- Hungarian empire. In the South the flavours of the Mediterranean prevail, the olive oils, the fresh and dried fruit influenced by the Moors, the tomatoes brought from the New World.

Food From Chile - Surprising!

Chile is a country situated in the west coast of South America, and is extended along the Pacific Ocean, it has almost 3 thousand miles of coast. Because most of the land is between mountains, with not plenty of room to grow cattle, they have developed wonderful recipes with seafood. They also have the finest vineyards, so if you go to Chile, be sure to eat sea products and drink their wine!

Along their coasts they have all kinds of sea products, and are famous because of them. As their land is not abundant, they must import most of their meats, and many vegetables.

But before the Spanish came, the Indians who lived in that region, used corn in their dishes, and this ingredient continues being an important part of their cuisine up to these days.

When Spanish people came in the 1500s they brought chicken, rabbits, pigs, and beef. So, the combination of the Spanish and native ingredients formed the popular dishes that today are so popular and characteristic of the food from Chile.

Since Chile has received immigrants from all over the world, there we can find a mixture of Italian food, Arab's herbs and spices and even the British love for the tea. This is enjoyed up to these days, as inviting friends for teatime is a very popular and enjoyable habit between the Chileans. They take their four meals per day, being tea time a very important moment.

For sweet dishes, they have so many delicious fruits, Italian-like ice creams, German origin's pastries and cakes recipes. So trying food in Chile, is always a surprise. But what one cannot miss is the sea food, as in cooking those dishes they are experts!

Is Tutoring Beneficial or Harmful to Your Child's Education?

In the recent years, parents have used tutoring as a means of educating their children. A research conducted by Eduventures - an educational firm-revealed that in 2005 parents spent $3.75 billion on tutors.

Tutoring may not be popular among some people. The motivation to find a tutor may not be wise especially since it costs money. This is one of the reasons why the tendency to tutor has come under a lot of criticism However, we cannot deny the fact that tutoring can a source of enrichment to the educational life of their kids. Some parents also enroll their kids in the tutoring classes as they feel that the kids may have not had enough learning during the allocated school time.

Responsibilities of a tutor

Tutors have various responsibilities and obligations, both to the children and the parents. Tutors are required to have the best interest of the children at heart. Bad news is that some tutors are only after monetary gain and this is why it is necessary to find a tutor who has the right interest of the kid at heart. Tutoring becomes a challenge because they are no clear guidelines or standard way of doing things.

Unlike teachers, educationists or trained child therapist who are professionally trained and they clearly understand their responsibilities.

It is prudent to understand that tutors work independently from teachers. Therefore, they should not exploit the anxiety that parents will most likely suffer from. It is the role of tutors to show the psychological and intellectual effects of tutoring of the children to independent parties namely the teacher and parents.

Right and wrong reasons for tutoring

Here are some basic reasons why parents may seek tutors for their children

The desire for them to excel

Some parents may have the feeling that their kids are not performing as expected. They can do better if the services of a tutor are sought.

Some students have organizational difficulties

Some kids may have difficulties in their organizational skills. They need the help of an independent party to help them improve on such skills.

Some students have the desire to perform exemplary in standardized examinations

Standardized tests like ACT and SAT have been given importance in the education sector. It is crucial for kids in school to pass this kind of tests as it will determine their educational future.

However, this may not be reason enough to support tutoring. Some children may not meet the expectations of the parents regardless of how many tutors are hired. There are many cases whereby parents have spent a lot of money on tutors only for the child not to join an elite high school or university. And for the few that will make it, they may not meet the expectations of those institutions during their schooling period.

In conclusion, the decision to tutor or not lies with the parents and the children. Some children may still perform well academically without tutoring. You can use tutor finder to get a tutor in your location.
